NexGen Nissan R35 GTR Flex Fuel Kit - CAN bus
Introducing the Visconti Tuning NexGen Nissan R35 GTR Flex Fuel Kit, the most advanced and user-friendly flex fuel solution available. This is a fully CAN bus integrated flex fuel solution designed to communicate directly with the factory ECU while keeping all OEM sensors intact.
CANBOX is our Bluetooth BLE Ethanol Content Analyzer that provides core flex fuel functionality. It supports both iOS and Android applications for configuration, over-the-air updates, and advanced diagnostics.
CANBOXPRO adds four configurable I/O channels. These support 0–5 volt sensor inputs for features such as fuel pressure or coolant pressure monitoring, as well as PWM outputs for triggering relays or controlling auxiliary systems such as nitrous or meth. CANBOXPRO allows additional inputs to be added now or expanded later as your setup evolves.

ATTENTION TUNERS:
Our CANBOX integrates natively with EcuTek RaceROM and requires no custom CAN setup. There is no need to define CAN IDs, data bytes, update rates, or emulate third-party devices. Our hardware is EcuTek CX29 certified and uses EcuTek’s current CAN bus protocol for direct ECU communication.
Technical details and development history:
Developed and refined over more than 15 years on the Nissan GTR platform, our kit reflects continuous engineering improvements driven by real world use. We were the first to develop a flex fuel kit that communicated directly with the factory ECU on a vehicle that did not originally include that functionality, originally developed on the Nissan GTR.
The ethanol content sensor is mounted on the left side of the engine bay firewall using a black anodized billet aluminum bracket designed for durability and a clean factory appearance. Fuel line integration for the sensor is handled through a black anodized billet aluminum adapter that connects directly to the OEM fuel rails and our PTFE fuel lines.
Reliability has been improved over earlier designs. The updated fuel rail fitting incorporates a secondary external O ring to account for variation in the inner diameter of factory GTR fuel rails, reducing the risk of seepage or leaks over time. The supplied PTFE fuel lines use EFI style quick connect fittings and feature a hydraulically crimped collar assembled using an Aeroquip ProCrimp 1380 to ensure consistent and repeatable assembly quality.
We take pride in knowing the name of every individual involved in producing this kit, which is proudly designed and manufactured in the USA. The harnesses are handmade with automotive-grade TXL XLPE insulated wire and assembled in an ISO Certified Facility.
